Fashionista! Not.

Hello my widdle munchkins,

It's Friday Yay for you and Boo for me because i gotta go to work tomorrow. Today's prompt for the Girly Girl Challenge is Inspired By The Runway i have to admit i don't know nothing about fashion. Ain't nobody got time for that! So trusty Google came to the rescue.

not the black. (source-Google)

I started with two coats of Avon Perfectly Flesh this is a beautiful nude but pastel coral-ish colour, its a very pretty colour and i can't believe I've not used it every alternate day.

this is the most colour accurate

Then i used Colorbar Disco Gold which is a glitter Top Coat that i just couldn't resist buying.

Doesn't this totally look like the fourth dress from the right? I loved this mani so much i hated having to take it off.

look at those glitter reflections :)

Since this polish is a fairly new one i want to do a review on it? Should I? what do you'll think?

Have a great weekend!

Elegant Much?

While i do claim to be a girly girl i don't think delicate and elegant is my forte. I'm usually the one who spills her drink, trips over thin air, and drops things over.

Anywhoo this is my mani for The Girly Girl Challenge - Delicate and Elegant, I started with two coats of Deborah Milano  7 Days Long  No. 833 its a beautiful pink i wonder why they don't name these beauts.

Then i went to stamp town. I used Faces White O White to stamp because my Konad Special White ain't so special no more. I used Konad M-57 and stamped this lace down the centre.

I can't say I'm perfectly happy with the way the image transferred but I'm not sure if it was me or the image on the plate.

All in all i think lacy designs qualify as delicate so this fit the bill. I hope you'll are enjoying Friday in a drunken stupor somewhere!

Happy Weekend,

Bling a Ling

woot! that doesn't make sense! I know :) so you know how i was supposed to catch up with my mani's in the sequence they were supposed to be posted? well I've decided to let my mild OCD relax for a bit. I went and looked at all the other posts out there and i wanted in.

So here it is my second post in the same day *ha don't get used to it* for the same challenge which the awesome Moore is hosting with me. It is The Girly Girl Challenge - Gimme That Bling!

So i started with my VOV clear polish that i use as base coat and top coat and then using my fingers smeared on paste. Yup! normal ordinary craft paste and waited for it to dry.

Still with me? Good. So i wanted this to be a total bling-y affair and all i wanted to use was glitter dust so i used the paste to help me peel off the glitter easy peasy :)

*drool*

I bought this from Khar Beauty Centre (for anyone who is in Mumbai) for umm 250 rs i think. That is approximately 6 USD. Neat right? Then i used the Blue Silver and Pink and mixed them up, i applied another coat of VOV transparent on my nails and dipped my finger into the glitter then i used a brush to fill in the gaps and then added another coat of polish.

 this ones without top coat

Lets just go look at them again..i love it! Now this is also the Mani i wore for my surgery and as soon as i was admitted they wanted me to take it off so i had this on for like 2 hours only what a waste. Thank god for me i had decided to try the paste technique or I'd have to spend forever getting this off in the hospital. The paste technique pretty much worked i peeled most of it off and had to use a little bit of acetone to get rid of the base coat and few sparklies. i know that is not a word.

I should be in bed!

Happy Stinkin Monday xoxo

Happy stinkin Monday peeps!

Who am i - rithika!!
What do i hate - Mondays!!

Now that we've established that let me elaborate!? Don't i always? It's back to full fledged work for me starting today, after enjoying countless *okay* three weekends of lazing around doing nothing using the fact that I've had surgery to the fullest. Heck when we were going to my aunts place this last extended weekend *i.e Wednesday through Sunday say woot!* Heck! my mom even considered pushing me into the handicapped compartment in the train because well maybe i qualify and its less crowded. Jeez that's not so funny in writing. No offence intended, besides i am kinda mentally challenged. Right?  *awkward*

Umm okay then on to the mani i should  have posted ages ago and well i should be ashamed Moore let me co-host and i missed not one but two posts even though they are done. Fml. That website has some cra-azy stuff there though. Go have a looksie.

So here is my first post for The Girly Girl Challenge - Think Pink. I am a total girly girl and I'd like a pink unicorn that burps butterflies and...well you get the drift doncha?

I started with Avon Speed dry+ Fusion a frosty light pink with shimmer in it. Its quite opaque in one coat but i don't think it would stamp well because its pretty light.

I used two coats and then went stamp crazy using Konad M-83 and Konad special red.

I had a tough time getting the images to transfer onto the stamp but that's probably me because it was okay after a bazillion attempts .

Also, i did this on my right hand too cause i wanted to wear this to work on 1st April and i managed to do a better job on my right hand. weird.

hello you widdle weird right hand pose :D

What else is girlie lets see..
 pink check
hearts check
red hearts +1
hmm ooooo shinies -_-  I added glitter and its yum.

How is the day treating ya? Don't let Monday get in the way of them drinks lol.

Monday why u no Sunday again!?

I'm a girly girl!

Yes I am! A friend once asked me if I'd ever gotten into a fight with another girl, I looked at him wondering where he was going with this.. because well us girls we fight you know, he then continued "You know the kinda fight where you pulled her hair or hit her" I looked at him horrified, and he laughed apparently that was expected because he thought i was too girly to actually hit anyone. I stood corrected *kinda* after i punched him in the stomach for saying something so stupid!  Okay maybe the punch didn't hurt but you know i can't really deny the fact that I am girly I love pink and glitter and unicorns that poop butterflies *kidding*

Is anyone wondering what my point is yet? I'm announcing a new challenge :) Along with Moore and its called the Girly Girl Nail Art Challenge. It's all her brilliant idea and she came across it and thought it would be fun to do and agree! I'm super excited and i would love it if you'll do the challenge with us.

Now I do have a mani to show as well or I'd feel like the kid who came to school empty- handed on Show and Tell day!

I started with VOV Got A Pretty In Thailand (woot two posts in one week using the same mani! yes i think I'm in love). I wanted something nice and bright to cheer me up cuz i had to go to the hospital to get my stitches checked and see if the histopath reports were back.

*sigh*

Then i added this VOV Glequin which has Pink hexes and silver fairy dust! aka glitter :) I added two coats and pardon my camera because it does not do this baby justice at all.

is it just me or is my little finger too little?

this one is most glitter accurate

this one is most colour accurate

My sister bought me this one after i gave her instructions on the phone about where the counter for glitter polish is. The perks of surgery are few but oh so good!! Also this has a super slow dry time but nothing top coat can't take care of.

My new comment widget quit on me in my last post here's hoping it stays okay in this one :) and do the challenge!

Loads of Love,
