Elegant Much?

While i do claim to be a girly girl i don't think delicate and elegant is my forte. I'm usually the one who spills her drink, trips over thin air, and drops things over.

Anywhoo this is my mani for The Girly Girl Challenge - Delicate and Elegant, I started with two coats of Deborah Milano  7 Days Long  No. 833 its a beautiful pink i wonder why they don't name these beauts.

Then i went to stamp town. I used Faces White O White to stamp because my Konad Special White ain't so special no more. I used Konad M-57 and stamped this lace down the centre.

I can't say I'm perfectly happy with the way the image transferred but I'm not sure if it was me or the image on the plate.

All in all i think lacy designs qualify as delicate so this fit the bill. I hope you'll are enjoying Friday in a drunken stupor somewhere!

Happy Weekend,

Do check out what the other girls did :)

Happy Stinkin Monday xoxo

Happy stinkin Monday peeps!

Who am i - rithika!!
What do i hate - Mondays!!

Now that we've established that let me elaborate!? Don't i always? It's back to full fledged work for me starting today, after enjoying countless *okay* three weekends of lazing around doing nothing using the fact that I've had surgery to the fullest. Heck when we were going to my aunts place this last extended weekend *i.e Wednesday through Sunday say woot!* Heck! my mom even considered pushing me into the handicapped compartment in the train because well maybe i qualify and its less crowded. Jeez that's not so funny in writing. No offence intended, besides i am kinda mentally challenged. Right?  *awkward*

Umm okay then on to the mani i should  have posted ages ago and well i should be ashamed Moore let me co-host and i missed not one but two posts even though they are done. Fml. That website has some cra-azy stuff there though. Go have a looksie.

So here is my first post for The Girly Girl Challenge - Think Pink. I am a total girly girl and I'd like a pink unicorn that burps butterflies and...well you get the drift doncha?

I started with Avon Speed dry+ Fusion a frosty light pink with shimmer in it. Its quite opaque in one coat but i don't think it would stamp well because its pretty light.

I used two coats and then went stamp crazy using Konad M-83 and Konad special red.

I had a tough time getting the images to transfer onto the stamp but that's probably me because it was okay after a bazillion attempts .

Also, i did this on my right hand too cause i wanted to wear this to work on 1st April and i managed to do a better job on my right hand. weird.

hello you widdle weird right hand pose :D

What else is girlie lets see..
 pink check
hearts check
red hearts +1
hmm ooooo shinies -_-  I added glitter and its yum.

How is the day treating ya? Don't let Monday get in the way of them drinks lol.

Monday why u no Sunday again!?

Do check out what the other girls did :)

Life is like a joint...

Life is like a joint indeed! Sometimes you need a good kick to make you happy :). Yes i came up with this gem all by myself and no i was not high

So I've been off the grid lately this was not intentional all my mani's were done it was just the posting. I guess life just got in the way but I'm here now and we are going to catch up with posts that are ridiculously overdue.

Today's shamelessly late mani is the fourth installation of the Crumpet's Nail Tarts Tri Polish Challenge  it was supposed to be live on the fourth Thursday of March i.e the 28th! Woot!

Avon Electric Green, Midnight Plum and Coral Beat

I started with two coats of Avon Electric Green, now the photo for this was taken a few days before i did the manicure so for some reason the colours are different for the before and after!

It's a lovely green which is slightly runny but two coats makes it opaque. Then i stamped using Konad M-38 and a nameless white polish because my Konad Special Polish - White is running out. This new white was a little sheer though so the image didn't stand out as bright. It wasn't half bad though, see for yourself.

 see? pwetty <3

There it is! My entry for the Tri Polish Challenge - Day 4. I will be posting all the other manicures in quick succession so hopefully I'll be all caught up real soon! I missed you guys so much, nail polish is really therapeutic for me.

Love,

Have a look at the other awesome Mani's for the challenge:-

Rawrr...

Why the uninspired title? I'm doing the Inspired By A Time Period Challenge by Llama Nails and the time period for this week is Jurassic Era! Which means Dinosaurs which also means Rawrr.. Get it? No? Never mind.

I'm super excited for this challenge, its definitely going to push my imagination i thought I'd do an accent nail of a T-Rex or Jurassic Park maybe but my painting skills suck. Also i saw so many Saran Wrap Manicures i thought i could try this? Right?

So i started with A poor nameless Green which is a beautiful Once Coater aka Easy Dents and the brush was brilliant. It has something like a channel V logo on it except it has brackets.  See the little beaut for yourself!

see how it catches the light..:)

This ones closer to the colour irl.

It does stain though, i realised this during clean up but because i used base coat I was gonna be alright! Then i waited for this to dry completely which means it had dents too but i didn't worry because i was going to cover it up anyway, I then used VOV yellow which again has no name or number it is a really bright yellow like the kind you'd use for a bumble-bee or cupcake i guess..

I didn't have Saran wrap so i cut out plastic filled it with clean-up Cotton and taped it to look like a ball with a holder. Yes i suck at describing so i took pictures!

look how pretty the green is

then once the yellow was added i dabbed my fake saran over my nail. I did one nail at a time cause the VOV polishes tend to get lumpy quickly .

it worked just fine *yay*

Thumb Included!

So the ball can totally be used as an alternative to saran wrap manicures, i really liked this design yeah? But i wanted a little bit more! So i stamped over this. Now because of the technique I used it was not an even surface so my stamps didn't transfer correctly. Did i stop and apply top coat and then do the next? Nope.
Was that a good idea or bad I dunno you tell me

I stamped using the same nameless Green and Konad Image Plate-M83. Also the website i order my Image Plates from has shut down.real tears were shed! I'll source a new place of course but I'm still a little heart-broken.

I think my manicure looks very Jurassic era like and you?

P.S. this might be my last non-scheduled post for a while i just want to remind you'll to send some love my way.. if you don't know why go here.

Till we meet again,

**EDIT** I just realised i spelt Jurassic wrong in all my photo's It may or may not have been done on purpose :P have a good laugh ladies.. I'm gonna go cry in a corner

Don't forget to go see what all the other lovely ladies did! :)

I heart heart you!

I like all things girly! oh yes glitter and pink and hearts and red! so this mani was perfect *perfect* to showcase that. Sure i could have used this one for valentines day but Cupid wasn't playing nice and i wanted to try this as SOON as the plates arrived so i did it earlier than *ahem* required.

I am also super excited about starting a new challenge :) I'll let you know the details as soon as i figure out how to properly add links here so they look like names instead of a long URL (any help will be immediately applied). I hate to admit it, despite working for tech support i am so technically crippled in terms of this blog HOW on earth does that happen?

So i started with Avon Sizzling Red it's so shiny i was temporarily distracted by all the light it was catching

cant blame me can ya?

Then i went stamp happy doodle doo... *sorry I'm just in a happy days kinda mood* and i used my Konad M-59 and stamped the heart hearts aka the double hearts aka inverted hearts, i used Konad Special White.
And immediately felt like going out on a date after looking at my nails :)

pweetyyy

Yes i find it absolutely necessary to put useless captions under my photo's and I'm sorry about my cuticles AND my clean up but that's because there was no clean up done and that's because i was heading for a warm shower after this and figured that could be my clean up Lazy much?

i do promise I'll clean up but i have a few mani's that were done with no clean ups and you'll have to see those, i do apologise.

Here's another one of just my thumb cause its so cute and it was perfect unlike the others that was like a progressing diagonal pattern.

*insert useless caption*

By the end of this i had figured out how to add links! well if only to not look like an idiot but still!

So the challenge is Crumpets Tri Polish Challenge and the colours have been announced I'm still deciding though..

Any of you gonna do it? I'd love it if you'll were doing it too.

See you soon,

I've got Sunshine....

Around valentines week i had to go to the hospital three days in a row and it was making me feel super low, when i came home between visits i decided to do a bright mani.!

I picked up the brightest colour from my storage space *read teacup box*  a lovely sunny day blue from Avon called Misty Blue. I applied two coats and felt instantly cheered up.Also i have nubs now because i had a break.

I'm getting better at editing :)
Then i thought this looks like a perfect world sky lets some clouds to it out came my trusty Konad Plate -M79 and  Konad Special White I'll be running out of this soon.. and i stamped and stamped and because my nails were smaller than the stamp i had had to use half and kind of double stamp and i was pressed for time but it turned out okay!
beautiful!! if i say so myself lol.

see how the blue came off cause i was in a hurry

Then i added this clear polish from Colorlife as a top coat and i was pleasantly surprised to see it is great as a top coat cause it lasts. I had this mani on for a week and there was no tip wear :O *wooot* on my left hand of course, but even the right hand was not half as bad. And this polish is not pricey either its a keeper!

All in all this was a real pick me up mani and its kept me up :)  it makes me wanna sing I've got sunshine...

Also, I've decided to do a monthly haul post mid-month mostly for me so i can see how much i spend and feel some shame *yeah right* and maybe swatch.  What do you think? Should i?

See you soon,

Grey Love

Valentines day has come and gone i decided to do loads of themed mani's but cupid just wouldnt play. Hmmmph tempramental much baby cupid!?

This is one of the nicer ones though, i started with Avon Matte Grey Cement now i must confess i LOVE matte *display of totally inappropriate lust*  and lets just say this grey... Oh yeah! Its perfectly matte gives one coat coverage and dries before you've done the other hand.

                                                             *look look ... drools *

Then i stamped.. *sob* using Konad Special Red and Konad Image Plate M-83 very cute-sy me likey.

The colors didnt really stand out much though so i added a top coat to un-mattify yes un-mattify it. I swear it broke my heart a little.

You can see the plate in the background

I still wore the Mani for three days, not on Valentines day though. Thats a whole diff story for another day. I spent valentines day in hospital getting tests done so its not like i needed the mani for a date.. just saying.

a close up for the awesome details *it looked clearer when i clicked it*

Until next time..

String Of Pearls

Don't mind the uninspired title I just want to get my mani in for last week so i can show you the one for this week tomorrow *hopefully*

Also, at the gym this random instructor comes up to me and tells me all the workouts in the word can't help me unless i stop eating.

1) No-one asked you.
2) You don't know what I'm eating anyway,

is what i wished I'd said to him.
It's a good thing i carry a gun...shooting him was highly pleasing...obviously, my gun is imaginary. I still think people should mind their own business, what do you think??

Anywhoo on to my mani, i started with my Avon Base Coat and then used Avon coral Beat this is too sheer with one coat so i did two coats.

*Yes i know i own Avon nail polishes in abundance but that will change, when i get a little better at this*

*two coats wasn't quite enough either*

Then i used the Konad  plate M-79 and an old black nail polish that's too gloopy to use for anything else.

                                                             *i didn't clean up*

Finished it off with a new top coat, not lilac. I ordered it online its not a known brand and while I'm typing this almost a week since i did this mani there's very minimal tip wear on my left hand. My right hand fights wars so don't ask.

*this is the full stamp*

I thought i'd show you my thumb cause it was the nicest

Nail Art Of The Week

Hello,
*well to no one in particular*

soo  I've decided to do a nail art of the WEEK (yes week cause i cant be trusted to do one every day)

This week I've got a polka dot themed nail art. Its pretty rushed up sorry but I'm hoping to get better with time :)

I started with Avon Base Coat then two coats of Avon Warm Black one is too sheer and then i used Konad Stamping Plate m-35 with Konad Special White Nail Polish to do the Dots and finished it off with a Top Coat.

sorry about taking the pics without tidying up.

The stamp was not large enough to cover the nail in one go so i had to do it in two parts and a few dots overlap i like the overall effect though. i was also going to do a silver dot gradient on my ring finger but before i realised it i had put half a stamp on my finger...oh well maybe next time

P.S. The top coat i used was from a lilac French mani and it turned my polka dots purlpley pink! sorry yay! You can't see it in the pictures though.

Next up is a swatch and soon!
